Common how-tos
Manage my account or subscription
Sign in and go to Account. You can change your name, view your subscription tier, export your data (full JSON of every hive, inspection, treatment, harvest, and photo), or delete your account.
Export my data
Account → Export data. The export is a JSON file with everything your account contains, including presigned URLs for any voice recordings and photos (URLs valid 7 days). Mobile users hit the same endpoint via the Settings tab.
Delete my account
Account → Delete account (or the same option in mobile Settings). Deletion is synchronous and irreversible. Subprocessor copies (auth, AI, payment, error reports) are purged under each subprocessor’s retention policy, typically within 30 days.
Manage my subscription
Subscriptions are managed at whisperbee.app/portal/billing via Stripe. Cancel any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. There are no in-app purchases on iOS or Android.
Recover an accidentally-deleted hive or inspection
Email support@whisperbee.app within 90 days of deletion. Soft-deleted records are retained until the account itself is deleted; we can restore them on request.
Record an inspection without voice
Voice is the headline workflow but not the only one. On every hive screen on both the mobile app and the web portal, the inspection action bar offers two side-by-side options: record by voice, or enter manually.
- Mobile: open the hive, tap the inspection button, and choose Manual at the top of the screen. The form covers queen seen, eggs, brood pattern, varroa count, temperament, honey stores, space available, treatments, and notes — every voice-extractor field as a manual-entry field.
- Web portal: open the hive at whisperbee.app/portal, click Enter Manually next to Record Inspection, fill the form, save. Same fields.
Treatments and harvests on the web portal are manual-entry by design (the voice extractor catches them when you mention them at the hive, but the web portal’s Add Treatment / Add Harvest forms work with no voice involvement). Inspection edits on either client are also keyboard-only.
Reporting bad AI output
If WhisperBee’s AI gave you a bad transcription, extracted the wrong field, generated a misleading briefing, or made any suggestion that affected (or could have affected) a hive decision, please tell us. Email support@whisperbee.app with:
- What the AI said
- What was actually correct
- The inspection date or hive name, if you have it handy
- A screenshot if applicable (briefings, action items, chat)
We use these reports to tune extraction prompts, add suppression rules for false positives, and decide whether to add the case to our regression tests so the bug doesn’t come back. See our AI Disclaimer for the full picture of how AI works in WhisperBee.
Beta build issues
If you’re testing via Apple TestFlight or Google Play Internal Testing, crashes are sent automatically to our error monitoring (Sentry) so we can debug. Even so, a quick email helps a lot — describe what you were doing when things went wrong and we’ll prioritize the fix.
To leave the beta, uninstall the app or remove yourself from the tester list in TestFlight / Play Console. You can also email us to be removed.

Response times
We aim to respond to support email within 2 business days. Privacy / data-rights requests are responded to within 30 days (45 for California residents under CCPA/CPRA, extendable by another 45 with notice). Beta builds are looked at faster — usually same day if the founder is at a keyboard.
